Mahwah, NJ, February 21, 2008 -- Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (SIICA) continued to expand its direct regional sales operation with the opening of a new Sharp Business Systems branch in Virginia. Sharp Business Systems (SBS) of Washington D.C. opened today in a new facility based in Arlington, Virginia.
SIICA purchased Rockville, Maryland-based BCE Corporation to launch Sharp Business Systems in the Washington D.C. area, serving all of Maryland and Northern Virginia. Moving forward, SIICA’s federal sales force formerly based in the D.C. area will join SBS of Washington D.C. as well.
Sharp Business Systems of Washington D.C. will be managed by BCE’s John Vassos as branch president, who brings vast knowledge and industry experience to Sharp. “We are excited to be part of the Sharp family and look forward to providing superior products and outstanding Sharp support to our customers. We join with a sense of camaraderie and eagerness to grow business in the greater D.C. Area.”
The BCE management team has served the market for more than 36 years, gaining a reputation for superior service and commitment to its customers. All employees of BCE have been asked to join the Sharp team and will provide seamless service to new and existing customers.
Sharp Business Systems of Washington D.C. will offer their customers Sharp’s line of advanced office products and solutions, which was recently recognized by BLI as “Product Line of the Year”. The company will continue to provide the same high level of service and also continue to serve existing equipment and contract agreements.
Sharp Business Systems Strategy
SIICA plans to establish more than 20 local Sharp Business Systems branches during the next few years. Since the first branch opening in Arizona, SBS branches have opened in San Francisco, South Florida, Indianapolis and San Diego.
